Chapter 1427 Bucket full of fish

Yu Mai was crouching as he tried to pick up the bucket that he had submerged in the water but as he pulled it up, he realized that it was too heavy! He blinked his eyes and then looked down at the water but this time around he could not see anything because of the crashing waves.

'Maybe I need to put more strength?' Yu Mai thought as he rolled his sleeves and once again pulled the bucket but he couldn't pull it out of the water. Seeing this he turned to look at Ye Liu and said, "I cannot pull the bucket out of the water, Brother-in-law Liu. It's too heavy!"

"Pretend! Keep pretending," Guo Chengcai sneered. He did not believe that there was any fish in the bucket. After all, he and his wife had been sitting next to the shore for so long and were yet to catch a single fish and that was when they had been using all the right techniques. So how could a kid who did not know how to fish catch any?

"Can you stay quiet? No one will think that you are mute if you don't speak!" Madam Yan scolded her husband. She was speechless at his actions, could he not see that the entire shore and village belonged to Yu Dong and yet he was still offending her husband?

Guo Chengcai snorted. He did not care what his wife said, he only sneered and looked away from Yu Mai and Ye Liu.

Ye Liu, of course, noticed the actions of Guo Chengcai. He was speechless, was this necessary? No matter what Yu Mai was a child. Was there a need to be hostile to a child?

His brows furrowed and he looked at Yu Mai who seemed to be a bit timid and scared. Ye Liu did not know what happened, did sand fill up the bucket?

Whatever. He would see what was filling the bucket after pulling it up, Ye Liu put his back into the work and with a lurch pulled the bucket out causing water to splash all over his clothes and body.

Guo Chengcai would never admit that Ye Liu was better than him! Even if he was to die.

Ye Liu was speechless. He had never seen someone so shameless. Not only did he go back on the bet they made but he was also acting so atrocious!

"Fine! We will do it again!" Ye Liu sneered, with the spiritual water that he had drank and the vegetables that he had eaten, does he need to worry about not catching fish?

He emptied the fish in the water vat behind him and then turned to look at the crowd, "Look! We have only put the fish bait and nothing else in the bucket! Take a closer look lest someone say that we did something shady!"

His words were directed at Guo Chengcai who stared at the bucket and saw only fish bait in the bottom of the bucket with patches of water.
