Chapter 1401: Splashed with cold water

Shen Li had no idea that his worries were indeed not unfounded. At that moment, while Yu Sa was scolding her granddaughter and great-granddaughter, Yu Jun was sitting on the side with a shy look on his face.@@@@

He looked at his mother and niece and pursed his lips before ignoring them. He was already in his late twenties yet his mother was not in a hurry to look for a wife for him instead she was busy looking out for her granddaughters and cleaning the mess that was left behind by Yu Jianian.

Now that they did not even have a house, Yu Jun was really worried about his marriage and could only set his eyes on Yu Dong! The woman was tall and looked beautiful, she was also rich and had a house... in short, she had everything that he wanted in his wife.

Meng Junshan was sitting on the bed with his forehead in his hands. Usually, he would have dissuaded his wife from hitting Yu Jianian and would have stood up for his great-granddaughter but today he was unusually quiet. This was because he realized that Yu Dong was not as easy as he thought!

She did not give them any face when his wife was talking to her and did not seem to be inclined to get along with them. To make matters worse, Yu Nianian had also offended Yu Dong.

He was sitting on the bed and sighing when his gaze fell on his son. Seeing his shy look, Meng Junshan could not help but say, "Why are you giggling and laughing like that?" Their entire family was in trouble why was it that his son was laughing like a fool?

Yu Jun did not expect to be caught by his father. However, after staying unmarried for thirty years he was no longer a shy mer. He openly stated, "I want Yu Dong to be my wife."

His words shocked the entire family and even Yu Sa paused, she turned to look at her son and was speechless. Even though she was thick-skinned. She was not this impolite. Yu Dong and Yu Jun were a generation apart, if she was not wrong Yu Dong should have called Yu Jun her uncle and yet this mer was saying that he wanted to marry Yu Dong, was he crazy!?

"Have you gone crazy?" Yu Jianian who escaped the beating of her grandmother could not help but exclaim. "Uncle, even if you are not as old as my mother, you are still old and cousin Dong is your junior how can you say that you want to marry her?" Wasn’t it too embarrassing?

However, Yu Sa was still the head of the family and they had to give her face. Thus they stayed put for a week and did not make much noise in the Yu house.

Yu Sa was quite satisfied with how things were going as well, they ate and slept well. Sometimes she would even bully the mammies into leaving a vat of ice in their guest courtyard which helped them relax in the summer.

She thought that there was nothing better than living a life like such. She was just thinking about whether to look for Yu Dong and ask her to give her daughters and granddaughters a comfortable and well-paying job but, who would have expected that before she could make such a demand Yu Dong would turn her world upside down!

It was one fine morning and the entire family was asleep in their room when suddenly someone opened the door and splashed them with cold water!

Yu Sa who did not expect to be woken up in such a harsh manner jolted awake. She looked left and right before turning to the culprit, it was none other than Sun Jiu and a bunch of kids!
