GASB II Conference - Synthetic Biology made in Germany
We are delighted to invite you to the Synthetic Biology conference “Made in Germany”, GASB II, organized by and for the Synthetic Biology community in Germany. The conference will take place in the prestigious Harnack-Haus in Berlin on September 27 and 28. The program of the conference will highlight all hot topics related to Synthetic Biology. Each session will feature an exciting keynote speaker and two talks selected from submitted abstracts.
Besides scientific talks, GASB II will feature a panel discussion, poster session and "future talks". There will be plenty of opportunities to engage and network during coffe and lunch breaks and the conference banquet. During the banquet, GASB will be awarding the SynBio PhD Award endowed with 1000 €. To foster discussion and inspiration you are invited to visit the SynBio art exibition that will be on display during the conference!
Call for abstracts
We are offering several slots for talks and posters. If you want to share your work and get valuable input from the community, just apply and state it during registration process. The application deadline for talks is the 31st of August, for poster it is the 7th of September. You will hear from us as soon as possible after that date.
The scientific chairs of GASB II are Bernd Müller-Röber and Arren Bar-Even. We are inviting to this conference in order to connect the researchers located in Germany and to form a German Synthetic Biology community. You will get the chance to see the latest research from keynote talks by PIs, but also Postdocs and PhD students are welcome to apply for talks and posters on their current work. This conference will be the place where all scientists within Germany can come together to start new collaborations, exchange ideas and shape the future of Synthetic Biology.
Synthetic Biology is still a novel but emerging field at the interface between biology and engineering. Therefore, it has a high potential to shape the future of a bio-based industry, to design novel medical treatments as well as to advance basic or applied research. In Germany, an increasing number of researchers are dedicated to this field and its advancement.
